An abelian subgroup of a group of order 32:

An abelian subgroup of a group of order 32:

I know that a group of order 32 has an abelian subgroup of order 16 using
GAP (Groups, Algorithms, Programming). Is there a way without using
programming to show this. Any help will be highly appreciated.
